01

A grid of live searches

Pick a business, a keyword and a grid from 3×3 up to 21×21. We search Google Maps from the coordinates of each point and colour the point by your rank. Green means the top 3. Red means you are not in the top 20.

  • Grids are always an odd size, so your business sits on the centre point.
  • The radius can be up to 50 miles or kilometres, whichever you prefer.
  • One credit for each grid point. A 7×7 scan uses 49 credits.

Three numbers to follow

Each scan boils down to a few figures you can track from scan to scan, so you do not have to judge a map by eye.

  • Average Total Rank Position (ATRP) counts the points where you were not found as position 21.
  • Average Rank (ARP) is the average over only the points where you were found.
  • Local Visibility is the share of points where you are in the top 3.

Compare scans and watch it change

Put two scans side by side to see what moved. Or play all the scans of a keyword back in order as a time-lapse, which is an easy way to show a client how the map has turned green.

  • Before and after for the same keyword.
  • A trend chart for each keyword, over every scan.

Know what changed, in plain words

After each scan you get a short list of what changed: spots you lost, spots you won and competitors that appeared. You do not have to compare two maps yourself.

  • Gains and losses by area.
  • New competitors flagged.

What changed since last scan

  • Lost the #1 spot on 6 points in the north-east
  • Moved from #9 to #3 on the high street
  • Oak & Flour now shows up on 11 points where it did not before
  • Share of the top 3 rose from 31% to 38%

Scans that run themselves

Put several keywords into a campaign and run it every day or every week. One campaign can mix Google Maps, Web Search and AI platforms, and you get one digest email after each run.

  • Daily or weekly schedules.
  • One email per run, not one per keyword.

FAQ

Questions, answered plainly.

01

How is a geo-grid different from a normal rank check?

A normal check gives you one rank for one location. Google Maps results change from street to street, so we search from many points around your business and show the rank at each one.

02

What grid sizes can I use?

Grids go from 3×3 up to 21×21, always an odd size, with a radius of up to 50 miles or kilometres.

03

What does a scan cost?

One credit for each grid point, so a 7×7 scan uses 49 credits. Every account gets 300 free credits each month, with no card needed.

04

Is the data live?

Yes. Each point is searched live from its own coordinates when the scan runs, using our own scraping infrastructure. Nothing is served from a cache.
